Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release, Inc. (WRR) is a non profit tax exempt organization of people who share a common concern for orphaned and injured wildlife. Members include licensed rehabilitators who care for orphaned and injured birds, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles in their homes. Volunteers assist with the care of wild animals brought to the Animal Humane Society (AHS) in Golden Valley, provide education and guidance through written material, recorded messages, and educational programs. Volunteers also support WRR through fundraising, publicity, and other numerous support activities.

History of WRR
Wildlife Rehabilitation & Release, Inc. was created in 1994 by group of wildlife rehabilitators who saw the need to create an organization to handle the intake and distribution of the wild animals that the Animal

Humane Society (AHS) in Golden Valley had been taking in for over 30 years. Throughout the years WRR has grown into a professional organization that has a strong network of volunteers and licensed rehabilitators that maintain the highest quality of care and handling of Minnesota’s wildlife. In 2002 AHS dedicated space to be used as the Wildlife Intake & Exam Room. Through our partnership with the Animal
Humane Society and our network of dedicated rehabilitators, WRR continues to care for thousands of wild animals each year.
