Wildlife Rehabilitation & Release, Inc. was created in 1994 by group of wildlife rehabilitators who saw the need to create an organization to handle the intake and distribution of the wild animals that the Animal Humane Society (AHS) in Golden Valley had been taking in for over 30 years. Throughout the years WRR has grown into a professional organization that has a strong network of volunteers and licensed rehabilitators that maintain the highest quality of care and handling of Minnesota’s wildlife. In 2002 AHS dedicated space to be used as the Wildlife Intake & Exam Room. Through our partnership with the Animal Humane Society and our network of dedicated rehabilitators, WRR continues to care for thousands of wild animals each year.
